Here’s a FORD TRACTOR battery that I’ve had stashed. Not sure the exact year or model that would need this, but most likely an N-series.
At one point I was going to tinker with an early tractor but it’s probably not going to happen.
This is a hard to find 6-volt battery with FORD TRACTOR embossed on 2 sides.
It looks used as there are signs water was installed and leads were fitted on, but no big gouges.
Currently there is no water and no voltage.
Please inspect pics…
This is an old battery and the plastic exterior isn’t shiny and perfect like in new batteries.
There are scratches and imperfections from the molding process.
The red caps look new., and threaded holes look great.
I was suspecting this may have been rebuilt, as the fellow I purchased a couple other batteries from had some rebuilt units. But I can’t verify this, so it may be just an old well kept battery.
This is sold as is shown.
This is not an empty shell.
It is heavy.
The lead plates inside look really good.
I haven’t added water and do not know if it will be useable as is.
It is a gamble, but it looks like a good gamble…
If you are restoring an N-series, this could either be made to work, or possibly a newer battery fitted in.
Heavy and will be double boxed.
